Exercise is the best preventative medicine. Following a fitness training program tailored for seniors can reduce your chances of developing chronic illnesses such as heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis, and arthritis. There are a myriad of other benefits, such as increased bone density and muscle mass, improved sleep quality, weight management and metabolism boost, enhanced cognitive function and mental health, as well as better balance and flexibility.
At Strongevity, we will create a personalized workout program using in-home training or online training to help you do the things you love for as long as possible. To learn more about the benefits of functional strength training and following a fitness plan, click here

At Strongevity, we focus on functional strength training tailored to the individual. This means the movements we prescribe mimic and replicate movements we use in our everyday lives. We want you on your feet for as many exercises as possible. These types of exercises include balance, mobility, core strengthening, and muscle building exercises. These exercises are designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility in a safe, low-impact way.
We at Strongevity do not believe that specific exercises are one size fits all. That is why we work with you to find exercises that make you feel good, and have fun while doing it.
-
Absolutely! With the right guidance, a fitness program for seniors is not only safe, but highly beneficial. Regular exercise can make your life more safe by improving balance, fall prevention, and increasing stamina and energy, making doing everyday tasks safer.
Of course, you should consult a medical professional before starting an exercise program if you have concerns.
-
Yes we do! Our team is trained and experienced in working with folks with arthritis and osteoporosis. Strength training has been shown to reduce pain associated with arthritis and increase bone density to reduce risk of osteoporosis and even reverse it. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, strength training is one of the best things you can do to relieve pain.

At Strongevity, we like to keep it simple. You do not need access to a full gym, or to buy expensive equipment in order to workout effectively. All equipment needed is a yoga mat, a chair, stretch bands, and optionally, a suspension trainer.
For in-home training, we provide top of the line equipment during training sessions. For online training, we recommend purchasing the equipment, plus a tripod for virtual training sessions.

Remote fitness training for seniors provides complete flexibility to train no matter where you are. If you travel, or are located in another town, online training for seniors is the way to go.
We will meet via live video sessions on Zoom, Google Meets, Facetime, or another platform. You will be guided through a personalized workout by your trainer in real time. You will receive feedback, modification, or adjustments based on your fitness level. You will stay accountable while enjoying the convenience of training from anywhere!

An ancient Chinese proverb says: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is right now.” You’re never too late to start exercising. Fitness programs for beginners are designed to meet you where you are at, starting with simple, low impact exercises that gradually increase in complexity and intensity to provide the most bang for your buck.
Strongevity works with those of all physical ability and experience levels. We will provide personalized guidance to help you achieve your goals, whether it is fall prevention, weight management, or simply better quality of life.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that adults perform aerobic exercise at a moderate intensity 150 minutes per week. This can be broken up into 30 minutes of exercise, 5 days a week of brisk walking, swimming, biking, or any other form of physical activity that gets your heart rate up.
In addition to aerobic exercise, the CDC also recommends 2 or more days of functional strength training to increase muscle mass, bone density, balance, mobility, and strength. These strength training days can be combined with aerobic days.
Please note these are general recommendations and do not account for individual needs. If you have any concerns regarding exercise volume and intensity, please consult a medical professional.
